Johnstone, be and the same are hereby annulled. Resolved, That it shall be the duty of Monroe Lodge to try and deal with said Johnstone as the laws of Masonry require. Respectfully submitted, H. G. Hazelrigg, Ch'n. Which was read and concurred in. Bro. Hazelrigg, from the committee on grievances, made the following report: The committee on grievances, to whom was referred the charges against New Trenton Lodge, No. 27, after carefully 7 considering the same, have directed me to report that they have examined a great many witnesses in the case, and while they think that the rules of the order are not as strictly observed as they should be, yet they do not consider that there is any thing in the evidence that requires any further action of this Grand Lodge more than to admonish and require the brethren to be more particular in the observance and discharge of those duties which are to " distinguish them from the rest of the community, and mark their consequence amongst masons." The committee ask to be discharged from the further consideration of the case. Respectfully submitted, H. G. Hazelrigg, Ch'n. Which was read and concurred in. On motion by Bro. Ballingall, Resolved, That Chesterfield Lodge, No. 53, be allowed to remove to Middletown in Henry county; Provided, That two-thirds of the members of said Lodge shall, at a regular meeting, determine in favor of said removal; And provided further, That before said removal is had the Grand Secretary shall first make an endorsement of this permission on said charter.
