Miss M.--Patient was seated at a table provoking an angry father who pushed her face against the edge of the table. There resulted in consequence a marked depressed nose (Figs. 5 and 6). Opemtion.--A piece of fascia lata was removed from the patient and inserted into a prepared pocket. over the bridge of her nose through the vestibular route. Immediate result shows the deformity much overcorrected (Figs. 7 and 8). About one year later considerable shrinking has taken place, but is still overcorrected. 1-2. Front and side view. 3-4. Plate VII Miss E.--A marked kinked saddle nose as a result of a septal abscess following incision of a hematoma. The contractions are very marked. No other pathologic changes present to indicate lues. (Figs. 1 and 2.) 0peration.--Tibial graft introduced by way of the vestibular route and deformitv undercorrected. The Carter's splint and clamp operation was subsequently performed (Fig. 4) and the ultimate result is shown in Fig. 5. Miss C.--Congenital flat tip of nose due to the absence of any bony support for the columella which has remained very short in consequence (Fig. 6). The side view shows practically no defo1- mity (Fig. 7). 0perat1on.--Splitting the columella in the median line and exposing the bone of the floor of the nose at the rostrum as well as splitting the two layers of the membranous septum. A piece of rib was inserted and the nose immobilized by means of a clamp. The healing was prompt, but the cosmetic result was practically negative owing to the short columella. Fig. 8 shows...
