THE TOURIST'S GUIDE. RIPON. The City of Ripon is situated near the centre of the County of York, in the West Riding, in the Wapentake of Claro. It stands on a slight eminence, gradually rising north and south from the rivers Ure and Skell; over the former of which there is a handsome stone bridge of seventeen arches, 256 yards in length.
