In this book, Indo-European and Uralic comparative linguists discuss methodological issues related to substrate linguistics and present less commonly known case studies. The focus is on languages and language groups situated in Northern Europe: Germanic, Celtic, and Balto-Slavic within Indo-European, and Saami, Finnic, and Nenets within Uralic.
